Chances / Monies?

Essay will primarily be about how I only started trying 2nd half of junior year.

GPA: 3.2 W, 3.25 UW.

Obviously.
BUT! My school doesn't rank. Thank jebus.

ACT: 33
SAT: 2190
EC's: A lot (read: lot) of music; performances, orchestras, quintets, honor bands, etc. I've been relatively dedicated to swimming, doing so year-round (except during Water Polo season.) I can chalk up a lot of my various performances to community service, considering they were at various memorials and senior citizen homes and such. I worked as a lifeguard this past summer. I'm a writing tutor at my school.

I'd be going in undecided, from OOS (Illinois)

I'm a white male, so no help there.

Anyone care to help?

EDIT: Also, is there any opportunity for financial aid? Not the automatic ones, since I probably don't qualify, but the "random" ones that are given out post-acceptance. Does anyone have experience with these?

With that ACT score, you qualify for automatic merit aid as long as you apply by December 1st and are in-state. If you apply by October 1st, the amount will be larger. Also, since you ae OOS (Illinois) you may qualify for some merit aid but it will not be very large. Since the amounts change from year-to-year, you'll have to check the IUB website for this year's amounts.

Also, there is no required essay to apply for Indiana University at Bloomington. You can send one if you want, but based upon your GPA and ACT score, I doubt you will need to.

P.S. You have your W GPA and UW GPA reversed.

Can I get into Kelley as a direct admit? The GPAs are correct; classes such as band and gym are accounted for in the UW, but not in the weighted GPA.

not as a direct admit because they require 3.6 at least, btw how come your act is so high but your gpa is so low, is it a tough school?

He didn't start trying until the second half of his junior year.

And i wouldn't recommend that for your essay....
