Hello! As senior year approaches and college apps open, I’ve been stressing myself out more and more on which colleges are truly worth spending $$ on application fees. So I’m hoping that you could help me, whether it’s sharing your own experience of admissions with any of the schools I list, or just your overall opinion on what I have to share, it would all be appreciated! I have a 3.7UW, 4.3W, and a 30 on the ACT. I’ve taken 9 AP’s and am involved in several clubs at my school. I’ve also been involved with volunteering at a local hospital for the past 4 years. I’ve been thinking of applying to UGA, Baylor, Tulane, Bama, Clemson, UF, American, and Ohio State. I would be applying to all of these schools as an oos (from Tennessee). Again, any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!
Clemson admission is purely stats driven. They look at GPA , test scores, rank and rigor. Your stats look competitive for admission. That said, each year gets harder and more competitive. Good luck. Clemson prioritizes housing based on application date , so I recommend submitting your application as close to Aug 1 when it opens . It’s an easy application with no essay requirement. It took my son about a half an HR to complete.
If money is really tight, you can apply for fee waivers, and also google for no-fee schools (some of the best are free).
Are all of the schools affordable?
