I just graduated from high school with a 3.0 gpa. Yeah, I know its not good enough for NYU. But im planning on going to community college for two years and raising my gpa to a 4.0. Even if I excell at community college, how much will my high school record hurt me and what are my chances of getting accepted to nyu in the future? Thank you.

if you do like myself and apply for junior standing at NYU, then your high school GPA will not have near as much of an effect. But, two years at a CC is not necessarily fun either. If you apply after only one year at your CC, they will weigh you using your high school grades and your chances will be weaker.
