I got a D+ in my AP Comp Sci class (from a C+/B) and two C's last quarter (third), and will probably get 2-3 C's again for my final quarter. Is it possible/probably that my admissions get rescinded, even though my GPA was very low to begin with? My overall cumulative gpa that UW accepted me with was a 2.8/9. My third quarter and fourth quarter grades of my senior year will probably be a 2.7/8.... Anyways, the welcome letter says if I don't finish with a strong GPA it is their right to cancel my spot... but does that mean in ratio to what I was accepted with or their average standards?

Why did you let your grades slip like that?

A .2 drop in GPA isn't substantial. It's not llike you went form a 4.0 to a 2.7. I doubt anything will happen.

Ok so my here is my entire hs transcript:
F: 2.9, 1 honors
S: 2.2, 1 AP - 4 on AP exam, D in Class
J: 3.6, 1 AP
Senior 1st. Semester: C+/B in AP Comp Sci (major), C in AP Calc, C+/B in AP Psych, B's/B+'s and 1/2 A's for rest of classes. This translates to around a 2.9 GPA, and a 2.9 cumulative gpa.

Going from a 3.6 one year to a 2.7 is a SIGNIFICANT drop.

you are powned

Well a 3.6 junior year, then down to a 2.9 for the first senior semester. (which I think they counted?) Unless they don't consider the first senior semester. Anyways... what does this mean..!?!??!

If they saw the 2.9 I doubt anything will happen. If they didn'y see it (if you were admitted ED) I would start working my butt off to get my GPA as high as you can this semester.

So..?

You're not likely going to an elite institution (top 50 USNews) so i'd say that you're not getting your admission rescinded. You've taked more APs this year than all your previous years. You're fine.

Alright thanks. Makes me feel somewhat relieved... what do you mean I'm not likely going to an elite institution though?

As in you're not likely going to an Ivy League caliber school with those grades, one that takes academics too seriously and would rescind your admission.
