Hey everyone,
So due to some unforeseen events, I had to drop 2 of my classes for this Spring term at my CC. This is only going to leave me with 59 units at end of this term. I updated the TAU with this information which should lead me to get denied admission. What are my chances of filing an appeal and finishing my last unit during the summer? I applied to UCSC, UCD, and UCB. Transferable GPA is 3.19 and I’m a history major.
0 chance as it stands. How about adding an online class on the quarter system? Are the classes major reqs, or will they be used for IGETC ?
My CC is on the semester system and the class is for IGETC. I could find a CC that is on the quarter system and get a class in. Would I then need to report that directly to the UCs or would updating the TAU be enough?
UCSC allows classes to be taken on summer before transfer. I would look into it.
I have the summer class listed on the TAU right now. I haven’t heard back from UCSC about my admission yet. So finger are crossed for that.
@goldencub
I was able to get a class that fulfills the requirements I need at a CC with a spring quarter. Thanks for the advice! Do you know if updating the TAU would be enough or do I need to let each campus know individually?
@thenick0999 at this point you should let each campus know individually of your change in schedule and not simply update it on the TAU. Remember the UCs are only guaranteed to check changes to the TAU until 31 January
@ananguiano
Thanks, I’ll send the changes over.
Just an update to this for anyone that is curious on how this works. I called each campus today and received different instructions from each one. UCSC told me to just update my TAU and it would be fine. Davis told me to update the class in the admissions portal. This feature didn’t work and when I asked about this, they said as long as the classes are not admission requirements, I should be fine. Berkeley directed me to send an email updating them with the changes. Hope this helps anyone thats in a similar situation.
