Chances of getting in with these scores?

Hi everybody,
I am an international student looking to study in US. I have taken the SAT a few times. My highest score is 1970.
CR:560 CW:610 Math:800
My Sat Subjects are :
Physics: 710
Math Level 1: 800
Math Level 2: 800

English is my 4th language.
I have applied to the following unis.(and some backup options)
NYU, USC, Cornell, BU, Duke, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, Northeastern, Upenn, Washington Uni in St Louis.
Excluding the other factors, for which of these unis I have a good chance of getting in? (I will take the Sat one more time and hopefully get something between 2000-2100.)
Particularly for NYU and USC how good are my chances?

Ehh… Your SAT is really low for some of those schools, It’s even below the 25th percentile for NYU and USC. Depending on your GPA and ECs I’d say it’s a high reach for all those schools.

NYU: Reach
USC: Reach
BU: High match
Duke: High reach
Dartmouth: High reach
NEU: Reach
UPenn: High reach
WUSTL: Reach
JHU: Reach

Is your safety at home?

Thank you! My safety unis are: Bentley , U of Miami and Northeastern. Also I applied to UK unis as well.

More opinions please?

I agree with everyone else. Perhaps u cud get into one of ur dream universities if u werent an intl student but since u r an intl student, u need to have above-average stats. Study for the SAT and aim for a 2100+. Study as hard as you can and I am sure you will improve. Also, why don’t u look more into a couple of more universities that are better than ur safeties but little lower than ur list?

Thanks I’ll consider that!

Sorry, but your safeties aren’t safeties
University of Miami and Northeastern are both very selective, and Bentley isn’t easy admission either

I was thinking the same thing Patriot420

According to this chart admissions are not that selective ([University of Miami - GPA and Test Scores Needed for Admission](University of Miami: Acceptance Rate, SAT/ACT Scores, GPA)) Almost 100% of students who scored above 2000 and many people in 1800s got in. Why would it not be a safety?

We are all making assumptions about his grades… while it is true that U Miami, NEU and Bentley are non-reaches, none are safeties.

NEU: High match
U Miami: Match
Bentley: Low match/Match

Miami is not a safety.

Safeties are schools that are affordable where you are above their 75th percentile (while at the same time not being super selective)

Their 75th percentile for SAT scores is 2110, according to CollegeData.

[University of Miami Admissions Information - CollegeData College Profile](http://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg02_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=1047)

I see. Can you please suggest a good safety school then because I thought Miami would be easy to get in (also considering my SAT 2). Thank you for your help!

What is your major

Math and Econ.

Do you require financial assistance?

There are no safeties for those who require financial aid.

No. No financial aid.

More suggestions please?

Guys please help deadlines are approaching…

Take the TOEFL exam if English isn’t your first language.
