My GPA is 3.6. My SAT score is 1,350 and my ACT score is 21, but I'm retaking the ACT on Dec 8th. I'm bad at test taking so I doubt my ACT score will rise much though. What are the chances that I can get into colleges in my state? I will be applying to Virginia Commonwealth University, Radford, Virginia Tech, George Mason, University Of Virginia, Old Dominion, James Madison.

1350 on the 1600 or 2400 scale?

2400 scale

You may have a chance at Radford and Old Dominion, but the rest will be reaches for you I’m afraid…

I think you can get into Radford and VCU. If you raise ur score a little bit you might have a better chance at the other schools.
I’m applying to similar schools, could you also chance me please ? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1408561-what-my-chances-gmu-jmu-vtech.html

Yeah I know its not looking so good, I’m scared that I wont get in anywhere.

Try a test-optional school on top of those schools…

Radford: Low match
Old Dominion: Low match
VA Tech: Reach
VCU: Match
GMU: High match
JMU: High match
UVA: Reach (unrealistic one at that)

I completely agree with Catria. Your GPA does not align with your scores, your best bet will probably be to apply to test optional schools.

have you thought of testing out lego robotics?..

Do you have to send your SAT scores when you apply to college or can you send it later? I could retake the SAT at the end of January but application deadlines will end before I get the results.

You could technically not send them and hope that they make it in time, though it is likely that the scores would not reach the colleges in time (especially because the test is at the end of the month), resulting in you not being considered. Your best bet would be to either pay the late registration fee and take the December one if registration is still open or apply to test optional schools…
