Chances of getting into FSU?

3.1 GPA unweighted, 3.6 GPA weighted, 27 ACT (didnt take SAT), in state applicant, have taken nearly all honors or AP classes throughout my 4 years of HS (5 APs for freshman, sophomore, and junior year combined, taking 2 more APs my senior year).

Another thing to mention is that for my first 2 years, I was in IB (or pre IB as they call it), but unfortunately that really killed my cumulative GPA for those years, which is why i made the decision to drop out. My junior year grades were very good however, (i believe a 3.75 unweighted and a 4.3 weighted?) so im just wondering how they’ll take those first 2 years into account. My other problem is i dont have many extracurricular activities…only about 12 service hours. Is it too late to do anything to make my resume look much better?? I heard colleges dont really look at senior year.

I would recommend trying to reach 100 hours and take the SAT or retaking the ACT for Bright Futures . Aside from that and from what I researched, you have a good chance of getting in due to the rigor of your coursework and your GPA. Which AP courses are you taking?

27 ACT = 1290 SAT, and 1290 SAT = top level Bright Futures. So if you do exactly same percentile wise as you did on the ACT, you would qualify for top BF. Also, do service hours. Don’t throw away $28,000 because you don’t want to put in service hours.

ACT score is fine but the GPA is a little low for FSU, for fall admission at least. I hope you tried summer.

I was told apply for fall and that will cover summer as well. Admissions will defer you to summer if you don’t make the fall admissions cut
