What are my chances of getting into penn state main or pitt main first year?

Any other colleges in North Atlantic region that would accept me with my credentials that has a good nursing program?

Have you looked at the University of Rochester? They rank #12 in the top 30 programs.

You don’t need top-notch programs. If money is a concern several of the PA state schools have programs with good reputation/job placement (like West Chester and Bloomsburg). Other PA schools with good reputations include Moravian (beautiful location and campus), Alvernia and Temple. Thomas Jefferson in Philly also has a very good program.

@Shawnward19 Are you a junior or a senior? I’m guessing a junior since you haven’t yet taken the SAT or ACT. You are lucky that PA has many direct entry nursing programs in both public and private colleges/universities, and most of them are good. You might want to post in the Nursing major forum, or in the PSU and/or Pitt forums. However, until you know SAT/ACT scores, it will be difficult to know whether PSU or Pitt’s main campuses will be appropriate schools for you to apply to.

I live in pittsburgh but have really always wanted to go to penn state or pitt. Money is not a concern but more of an advantage since I already have most of mine paid for (thank god). I also wanted a bigger university. Something a step up from high school. So pitt penn state and ohio u are probably my top three at this point
