I’m curious. Did you get in, zoe?

If you look at another thread it looks like on 3/15 she posted she was waitlisted at E/A.

I got into exeter this year with an 80th percentile overall on SSAt’s which I feel is the best I could do. However, my interview was stellar, she and I had a lot in common and ended up talking more about other things then Exeter! Being a tennis player in an academy where I already live in dorms helped tremendously because they know I can cope with living away from home. Essays are one of the most important aspects of your application because it conveys your personality and the way you speak to the admission committee directly. I was told the main reason I was accepted were my essays. Do any of you guys go to PEA, just wondering.

I’m going in the fall =)

what grade r u gonna be in?

9th how about you? =)

same! Ahaha well i will see you there, although, I don’t know your name ahahah. Why do u think you got in, which part do you think helped your application the most?

The interview was definitely my strongest point, you? =D

Wow, you didn’t even get 99th percentile in every category. A class president volleyball captain… wow you are totally not involved outside of school… ;)

Just don’t let it happen. If you want to succeed enough, you will. Think positive and throw yourself right in.

Same. Just looking at the Andover placement tests sends a chilll down my spine.

Andover > Memphis state

looks like that’ll be where I’ll end up.

You got placement tests? I haven’t even gotten course request forms!

When did you get them and is there any indication of whether these tests are just for incoming 9th graders?

Ah, I’m terribly scared of failing at Exeter.
I’m not really sure what my “hook” is. haha :]
Is it because I’m from the Philippines? :]

ASIANKID29! YOU WON’T FAIL. LIKE, AT ALL. (i meant to call you by your first name but that’d be like, too public. so replace that with your first name for emphasis, k?)

your incredible personality and bubbliness (is that a word?) will win everybody ever. seriously. and like, you’re an uber genius just like the rest of them, so if you fail, i’ll be damned. : D
(but you won’t fail. just so you know.)

divealive, (haha, i want to call you by your first name too)
THANK YOU!

no you won’t. you’re amazing…and you have a lot of time to prepare for next year!

Exeter is in your future :D

I can guarantee you this: you will get accepted at least one of those schools if you apply to five of the top boarding schools.

the first two pages were making me crack up, people take emotional attacks so serious and when they do, more people tease and play them, you gotta love CC, but at least despite it’s 107% membership attendance everyone here feels welcome and at home with their own niche.

I am a sophomore and looking to apply to Exeter academy for 11th grade, my primary strengths are the Math Olympiads and Political savviness. I have won awards in debate, model congress, moot court, and will do mock trial and model un this year, expect to win awards, and am most of all willing to adapt and learn.

here are my sophomore plans, http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/999819-i-am-dedicated-want-know-if-college-would-agree-not.html

please advice, i am not a prodigy but i am extremely bright and am creative in both sciences and humanities. I love reading, blogging and public speaking. not to mention my technical skills and passion for video editing.

Most of all, i try incorporate my various passions together, whether it’s political videos, or economics and statistics or chem and physics together, :D

am I qualified for E/A or Andover? and which one would be better for my ‘fit’

did you get in?
I’m applying for Phillips and was wondering if you got in.
