Chances of getting into the MacCauly Honors College? (Queens and Hunter)

I am looking at two CUNY schools (Queens and Hunter) and my guidance counselor told me about the MacCauly Honors College and told me I should look into it, but I think she thinks that I have a self-esteem problem or something because she honestly sounded like she was just trying to boost my confidence (I said "oh, is that very hard to get into? I know that really smart kid in the grade above us who is ranked 13th in his class is in that now, and he's really smart" and she responded "YOU'RE really smart" which was nice, but not always particularly reflective of reality :P)
