I asked one of the reps he said they only take weighted GPA's my weighted is 3.5 i'm actively involved in community service, my ACT is a 22 (I'm retaking it in September) and I'm sending out everything next week, which is still considered early. I'm Hispanic, central Florida resident.

Doing better on the ACT is probably the best thing you can do for your chances right now. I don't recall ever telling them my race when I applied (maybe I did... I just can't remember) so I'm not sure if that's going to help you.

Try taking the SAT, some kids do better on one or the other test.

Colleges like diversity...not to be racist, they just like being able to boast that they have students of all different places/cultures. ;)
If you're better at math, retake the ACT, if yuo're better at English, take the SAT.
Comm. service def. will help you.
HIH!

Actually, the opposite was true for my d. She is must stronger in English than in Math, and did significantly better on the ACT than the SAT.

Thanks for the advice! Im re-taking ACT in October because I'm better at science (I wasn't prepared for the last one I took I must admit) I didn't do any better on the SAT's, so far my senior grades are looking good all A's with rigorous courses and I plan to better on the ACT next time around =) Oh! and I didnt mean to offend anyone with my race or anything, I was just putting out some of the basic stuff I put on my app.
