I am currently I senior and I really want to study marketing at UF. I know that I am below their academic averages but I also know that UF accepts students on a holistic basis… with that being said what do you think my chances are of getting in with these stats:
- 750 community service hours
- varsity swimming and waterpolo (10th - 12th grade)
- act: 24 reading 29, math 26, science 16, english 26.... I'm taking it again this Saturday but idk if I'll be able to get it up
- gpa unweighted 3.34 weighted 4.42 (IB program)
- top 20% of my graduating class
- co-founded this sexual assault project with my friend
- clubs NHS, IBHS, FBLA... no board positions
- job: I have my own mini photography business
- tv production (9th, 11th, and 12th grade)
- random lifeguard stuff: summer camp for 3 years and certification with Red Cross for CPR/lifeguarding
- GRADES 6th grade: spanish 2 B 7th grade: Spanish 3 honors B 8th grade: AP spanish lang A, Algebra 1 honors B, Physical science honors B
9th grade I was transferred into a private school where they set me back by putting me in algebra 1 again and placed me in all regular classes, except for honors biology which I transferred into mid year.
9th grade: english B, history B, jewish history A, Biology honors C, algebra 1 C, FLVS A, TV pro A, PE: A and Geometry honors A (I had to take geometry honors online since I wanted to transfer into the IB program at a local public school)
10th grade I transferred out of the private school and into the IB program at the public school.
10th grade grades: AP english lang C, honors chemistry A, Algebra 2 C, pre-ib inquiry skills A, AP Euro B, Ap Spanish literature A, pre-ib theater A, DE ceramics A
11th grade: IB Bio B, IB theater A, IB Spanish A, IB History B, IB Math studies B, IB TOK A, AP English Lit B, TV pro A.
12th grade(classes only): IB Bio, IB Theater, IB Spanish, IB math studies, IB TOK, IB English, Honors research, TV pro.
… I also applied to the honors program
I have also looked into Santa Fe and although it is a valid option I would rather spend all four years of college at UF.
