Chances of getting into USC?

I am an out of state student applying to USC!
My grades are as follow:
Freshman: 90 unweighted, 91 weighted. I went to a private school where honors didn’t give you extra points except math
sophomore: 93 unweighted, 96 weighted. Transferred to public.
junior: I’m still a junior but I’m taking all ap classes but my grades for those classes are all low or mid b’s…dragging down my unweighted gpa.

SAT: 2200

-I volunteer weekly for a program serving autistic children
-I’m in the national honors society
-Volunteering more this summer abroad (approx 50 hours)
-participated in numerous sports in high school but never really stuck with one.
-In MUN and FBLA
-Did a marine biology program abroad that was very selective
-part time job

with HOPEFULLY a kick ass essay…how are my chances of acceptance looking…?

The great news is you have time. I think you need to get those grades up so you can get over a 4.2 weighted. Those are the kids that are being admitted regularly. Your SAT is good; many USC admitted have a bit higher, but you’re in the middle tier so you should be fine. What will kill you at USC is your EC’s. None show a deep devotion to any one program, nor do they show leadership, which is KEY at USC. What makes you stand out? Why should they select you over thousands of others with similar Ed stats? Let’s all brainstorm some thoughts and perhaps some leadership roles you need to take on before next fall. You have time! Don’t stress!
