Hello, so I was wondering what my chances are of getting rescinded. I’m currently taking 5 AP classes, AP Photography, AP Physics C, AP English Literature, AP Calculus BC, and AP Macroeconomics. My worry lies in AP Calc BC and AP Physics, since I have a D in Calc right now and a C in Physics. Everything else I have an A in. If I can’t raise both grades to a C, will I get rescinded despite my difficult coarse load? My GPA is 3.9 currently, and I’ve fulfilled my A-G requirements (not counting econ, but I’m sure I’ll get an A in that class). My SAT score is 1960, if that matters, and I have a ton of extra curriculars. Thanks in advance.
Only admissions at UCSB can tell you if there is a possiblity of being rescinded. Your provisional admission states that you must maintain a 3.0 GPA weighted and no D’s or F’s. If you have a D on your Senior year transcript and you do not notify UCSB, then you will be rescinded. If contact them now and explain your current situation, they will probably be more forgiving and give you some options. Do not procrastinate, find out now.
