Chances of GT Admission- Unique Situation

Hi, I have a 3.4 gpa, without removing the .5 credit additions that Georgia Tech adds to the gpa. I have also struggled with some medical issues including memory, vision, and vestibular issues. I have also done two internships at the Georgia Tech Research Institute under a senior engineer. I have attended a robotics world championship with my school's FTC team, and have been an assistant and team leader under 2 other FTC teams and have traveled to the state championship to win the finalist award. I am also in engineering honor society as well. I informally took the SAT a year ago and got around a 1650, but I think with the extra time that I will have this time, I think that score will come up when I take the real SAT for the first time. By the way, I go to the 3rd best high school in the us, and the best high school in GA. Here is my question, what are my chances of getting in to Georgia Tech, as a mechanical engineer?

Also, how much will my two internships (I will be doing my senior capstone, a year round project with GTRI as well) help with the admission? Not at all, or do they help? My dad is from Iran and went to Georgia Tech, so would that help with the race factor?
