I’m currently a junior and I wanna go to Columbia University. I’m taking 2 honors, 5 ap classes and have As in all of them except 1 B in ap physics. I’m worried that this B will affect my chance of admission. I’d really appreciate some inputs here. Thanks
If Columbia rejects you, it will not be because of one B.
Assuming your cumulative GPA is high even with the B, it will have very little effect. Best would be to shoot for at least a B+/A- by the end of the semester, and an A next semester. They like to see growth / improvement. Though I have a friend that got into Columbia with a few Bs over the course of high school – as long as your test scores are good you will still be a competitive applicant.
