-applied to washU last year(for class of 2011) was waitlisted and then denied(i did not follow up and send in my final transcript for review)
-i now want to transfer to WashU for spring 2009

my questions:
-what are my chances of getting in, WashU is very iffy as to how many transfers they let in.
-do they still have records of my previous application?

stats that you can use to help me out with an answer:
-in high school, i did attend the HSSP program during the summer. though it does not really affect an acceptance decision, i do have 6 credits at WashU already.
-33 combined ACT, 4.38 HS weighted GPA, graduated in top 10 people of my class
-though i am a sophomore, i have junior standing at my college
-currently have a 3.3 GPA, as many of my classes are actually do not add into my GPA, BUT, give me 1 page evaluations describing my progress.
- i am currently a declared an architecture major, but i will do anything to get into any of washU's colleges

help!

what college are you at? if you do not want to publicly post, then message me.

right now it's iffy. A 3.3. GPA is below average for transfer GPA at WashU. Though if you're at a highly competitive school, something comparable to WashU like Emory, CMU, Vanderbilt, etc, then it may be understandable. Transfers usually have an A-/A average. I do not think your high school record really matters anymore since you already completed a year of college.

I was accepted as a transfer for this coming semester and I'll tell you what I know.

My HS gpa was terrible (3.15) and my SAT was good enough for almost any school (700/680/710). But like they said your HS grades won't matter too much since you've been in college for a year.

My college gpa after I semester was a 4.0, and that's when I applied. I tried my best to make a good impression on professors, and got 2 recs from the ones who I thought liked me the most. I wrote an essay that, if I do say so myself, was pretty damn amazing. I also turned in my application about 2 months early. It's also probably noteworthy that I visited the school officially.

I'm transferring from the University of Mississippi, which isn't exactly prestigious. I don't know where you're transferring from, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to get your gpa up.
