Chances of transferring to McGill University

Okay, so I am currently studying for a B.A in hospitality management, I would like to transfer to Mcgill university to do a B.A in arts for my final two years of university, I see that Mcgill has a transfer requirement of a GPA of 3.30 to 3,50, at my university, the grading system is done in percentages, and I received a a percentage of 78 during my first year, and I still have one year to improve, moreover I have currently received 24 credits and that should further increase by the end of my second year. I received 29 points in my international baccalaureate diploma. I have done a lot of charity work, and am majorly involved in university organisations. Furthermore, by the time of my applying for the university, I will be involved in a five month internship, for work experience. I wanted to know what my chances of getting accepted are?

McGill admits strictly by the numbers. EC’s, internship are irrelevant. Are you at a Canadian or American university now?

At a European university.

C’mon 51 views, you guys can do something more and give your opinion.

Thanks man, but one last question, if I wanted to directly start for a bachelor’s in bio science or agriculture, so no transfer just directly apply for a new degree, could I get in based solely on my IB grades, the minimum for this degree is 30, and I received 29.

No, they will know that you have earned university level credits.

But what if they don’t recognize my university, and I am allowed to reapply for a bachelors no matter which year of university I am in.

What do you mean “not recognize my university?” Is it an unaccredited for profit school like some in the US?

In any event you would need to explain what you have been doing since completing secondary school.

okay but focusing on if I were straight outta secondary school, with 29 points in the IB, and the minimum requirement being 30, would I be able to get accepted?

Bro Where did you go?

Minimum requirements fluctuate year to year depending on the applicant pool. Certainly borderline.

So, in your opinion, if the minimum requirement were to remain 30, me having received 29, and having taken the prerequisite courses, do you feel I have a high chance of getting accepted?

You have a chance.

What percent would you give me? Cause I’ve read that Mcgill has a lot of respect for the IB program, plus I’ve missed the requirement by one point only, I’ve read that people have gotten in after getting 2 points less than their predicted.

Dude, where’d you go?

Dude, C’mon I really need some info.

C’mon man, please be more specific.
