Hey guys! I wanted to know what my chances are to transfer with 68 units, 3.2 GPA and an AA degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. I also have many extracurricular activities and my father is an Alumni with Phd and 5 patents. I wanted to transfer to their history major. Any comment would be appreciated!

The school is admitting you, not your father, and your GPA is low. A 3.2 from Caltech is going to be different from a 3.2 at a community college, and if the latter is the case then you probably need a 3.7 to be competitive - transfer admissions are just as competitive as regular admissions, so even if you’re completely qualified across the board you still may not get in.
