Chances of transferring up

HS GPA of 2.4 and College GPA of 3.62 with 69 credits amassed. However took two yrs. off and worked at a neuro science lab, did advertising/marketing for a sports agency, tutored students in Chemistry/math. But never took the SAT'S

What are my chances of getting into University of Michigan?

im still a senior myself in hs, but i know that transferring from a lower school to a prestigious school is hard
wat college did u go to?

pancak3z, I attended a community college for a little over two yrs. However during my time there, I partcipated in many activities, tutored, became Phi Theta Kappa inducted (community college honor society), and made the Dean's list twice.

transfer???????/ is it quite different?

Yes tidsha2, transferring is very different from going to a 4 yr. college or any college straight out of high school. First of all, usually when you transfer people have at least 30 credits or more. Plus more emphasis is placed on your college grades and a lot of institutions don't require the SAT'S if you at least have 30 credits.Basically, students who did not perform as well as they would have liked to in HS (including me), can be via ready college if their academic record shows it. Transferring, honestly is a lot easier than going through the competitive admissions process right out of HS.

WMTRIBE, it is always tricky to evaluate chances for transfer. I see you come from Maryland. Is your community college in Maryland? If that's the case, I would say Michigan would be a reach. If your CC is in Michigan, I would say a match. But like I said, it is impossible to be accurate with transfers. Michigan is accepting fewer than 40% of transfer applicants (mostly in-staters) and the rate is dropping each year.
