I understand that I am going to need ECs and Volunteer work and I have that. This is just based on GPA alone and nothing else. I am currently a Junior and I just wanted some advice. My current GPA is about 3.2 unweighted and 4 weighted. I understand this is low, but I am in Dual Enrollment. All the high school classes I take are honors! All of them! If they aren't honors then they are taken at the College since our high school is a little bigger than a double-wide and sits on a college campus. I heard UF adds 1 point for AP or college level courses and .5 for honors. Do you think this will help my GPA a lot or a little. Keep in mind I have been taking honors/College level courses since 9th grade. Thank you in advance!!

Just making sure you know, the UF admissions office says that they admit people based on holisitic admissions, which is 50% extracurriculars/community service/etc. and 50% grades/testscores. Now your say your weighted GPA is 4.0 weighted, they will recalculate it taking only the academic courses in the process so your UF gpa will be <4.0. This isn’t great since only 27.7 of kids with a gpa of 3.7-3.99 get accepted. BUT you are most likely on the high end and if your a well rounded student then you have a shot. Also, good test scores help. Best of luck, WE FIND OUT FRIDAY!!!

I’m in the same boat as you! I have a 3.3 GPA unweighted and 5.8 weighted (top 5%) and getting my AA from taking dual enrollment courses. I’m not sure where I stand, but I get in! Good luck you guys!

I’m a junior…I am not yet applying to UF! I am also getting my AA which is good! Just found my report card and found that my unweighted GPA is not a 3.2 but a 3.39…thats a little better seeing that its close to a 3.4 which is an A- and my weighted in a 4.2 now as of the end of last semester. I don’t really agree with my UF GPA being lower than a 4 since all APs are 1 point and Honors are .5. All classes were passed. None were failed. I had a C in like 2 honors and 1 College course ( all history…my worst subject) #MATHANDSCIENCEGEEK!
