Chances out of state for MSU?

I know MSU is rolling, so I'm thinking it would be straight up RETARDED if I were to apply now. But part of me is telling me to, because I think the campus is legit.

GPA: 3.24
SAT: 1140/1600- 1800/2400
Courses: AP Euro, Honors English (11+12), Honors Spanish (11)
ECs: Relay for Life, Mary's Family (working with disabled children), Cancer Research Fund, Varsity Softball, J.V. Field Hockey, Working at local Safeway
Description: white female at small private school in Virginia, fellow classmate applied (asian, male- similar test scores/gpa, hasn't heard back yet)

All I wanna know, is if applying now would be a waste of my money since it's so late in the game. Or would it be worth it if I wrote a killer essay and had good rec's? Thanks.

anybody? I know it's xmas eve but come on peoppple

You have to ask yourself, do you really want to go to MSU with the possibility of not getting in, considering that many in-state students have already applied.

I live in Michigan. So, I know the large amount of students that have already applied to MSU from my high school and neighboring schools. I must say, MSU means a great deal to these students. I need more info in order to better assess your position. (classes, AP test scores--if any, if any of your recs would come from one math and one english teacher, etc.)

Looking at your EC's, it appears that you're looking at the medical field. If so, then which other colleges have you applied to, or are going to apply to?

Looking at your EC's, it looks like you have an extreme amount of passion. I would capitalize on that. Your SAT score isn't bad. If you apply now, you would have a slight chance of getting in, but if you applied earlier, you would have had a greater chance. It says that you really wanted to get into MSU.

they take everyone, and its always nice to know early, id say apply asap
