GPA table is on a 4.0 scale. Percent who had GPA between 3.0 and 3.24: 9.09% (or bottom 15% or so). GPA counts for 2/3 of the decision. I’d apply DUS and for summer if you really want main campus.

ok thanks for the reply! do you think if I apply early decision ill have a shot at UMD (in state)

When did you take the sat?

june 2015

Then shouldn’t it be out of 2400?
The first one out of 1600 until 2005, and then was out of 2400. It only went back to 1600 in March of this year.

yes its out of 2400 but i was told most colleges really only look at CR and Math ( maybe thats not true idk)

my score was 1950 or 1960 on 2400 scale

For Penn State/Pitt you should aim for a 3.5 (if you’re instate)

It’s not as if OP is likely to raise their GPA by 0.4 in the next three quarters, though they should certainly try their best.

The writing score weight varies by school. UMD does not consider it, while the W score at PSU and UPitt is similar to those schools’ CR and M scores.

i might attend attend another college ive already been accepted to and try to transfer , thanks for the replies
