Chances....please humor me

I'm Instate (In Ann Arbor), Indian (East)
Ok, so here is the deal. I just started my junior year. And this what has gone down so far:

My grades (sophomore):
3.4 UMich GPA (core classes, no grade boosts)
I took all the hardest classes possible except no "English Intensive"

Now my junior year:

Schedule, and grade:
Spanish 4AC (A)
Chemistry AP (A)
Math Analysis AP (Precalc) (B)
English AP (A)
Symphony Orchestra (A?)
History AP (B)

ECs:
Spanish Honorary Society
Active member of Indian Club
Have a job at UofM as lab assistant
Private Violin/Orchestra
NHS-when they send invites I will join (they haven't sent them out, and I KNOW for a fact that I am eligible)

The question: What volunteer hours do I need?
Also: I don't have any awards?

SAT (Anticipated): 2100 (I got 2090 on the last practice test)

Anything advice? Thank you very much. Umich is my first choice.

I also am going to work as an Election Inspector at the 2006 Michigan Gubernatorial Elections.

You have a 3.5 unweighed GPA. Along with a strong SAT (over 2100), I'd say your chances are decent...a match to slight reach.

how can you tell her GPA without knowing the amount of classes sophomore year?

Good question. I am estimating. The OP did say he/she had a 3.4 "Michigan GPA" sophomore year and approximately a 3.6 Michigan GPA junior year. I'd say the overall Michigan GPA is somewhere in the 3.5 range. But like I said, it is an estimate.

No guarantees.

I had about a 3.4 HS GPA and a 2000 SAT and was rejected.

how much better will my chances get if I get 4.0 Umich this year? On my transcripts the GPA is 3.8 and going up. What test scores do I need? Thanks.

2100 is fine with a 3.8
