Chances? RD 2021

I’m a high school senior at a college prep private school which is very competitive. I’m half mexican as well as a double navy brat. I love Elon and had a great college tour, and as much as I want to apply early and find out if I got in, I’m applying early to two other schools and honestly don’t have the time to incorporate another application in my course load. My college counselor said that this school is in range for me, but I’m worried that not applying early will hurt me.
Stats:
1250 New sat
28 ACT, most likely won’t send
GPA: 91.5/100 (School doesn’t rank)
Course rigor: 1 AP sophomore year, 3 junior year, 5 senior year as well as being a year ahead in math (I got bumped up in middle school, but they weren’t honors classes).
EC’s:
Sailing, Crew (captain 2 yrs), member of the school ambassadors (help with admissions), NHS, NEHS, model UN, Quiz bowl, girls on the run coach (community service, an after school program that talks about hard issues lower school girls will face in middle school ex. bullying, body issues, changing emotions, while also encouraging fitness), co president of ALS Awareness, volunteer at food bank in Louisiana for a couple of summers for a significant amount of hours, i’m in town for a month every year

Awards (a little weak):
Excellence in Art Foundations
Excellence in Pottery
Community service awards (3 yrs)

I’m hoping the school will be able to recognize that the rigor is the reason my gpa is low. I’ve also expressed interest with a campus tour. Thanks for the feedback!
Also on an unrelated note, I’ve heard some things about greek life at Elon. I haven’t thought about rushing anywhere else but the possibility that social life rests on it is worrying. I like going out and having fun with friends, will I have to be greek to enjoy the social scene?
Disclaimer: I’m not a party animal but I’m not anti-partying either lol.

You have an excellent chance of getting in regular decision. Elon encourages lots of EC’s so you should be good to go. As for Greek life, it is perfectly acceptable to not rush. You can have a social life by doing other activities. Good luck!

Elon places great importance on your interest in the school. Definitely go on the tour asap. (It also may very well
move Elon to your first choice. It did for my daughter) Email your Elon admissions contact consistently and express your interest. Elon wants to know that you really want to go there. Good luck!

To answer the final paragraph, while Greek life is big at Elon, two thirds of the students are not Greek and somehow still find plenty of ways to have active social lives.

Just wanted to bump this for future students to say that I got in with a presidential scholarship. My GPA raised to a 92 and superscored my sat was a 1300. Best of luck!
