<p>hook is something that helps you stand out from the rest of the crowd. it can be like legacy, underrepresented groups, and athletes.</p>
<p>hm.. dont really know. community service? i've done a little, but then so have a lot of people. i guess i'll have to leave hook blank for now. i have an apt mind for things mechanical and computer related, but i guess no way of showing that in my app. if i get in, i'm planning to take on the 3+2 econ engineering.</p>

<p>the problem is that claremont weighs sat/ecs more heavily than gpa... the SAT is kinda lowiwsh for claremont, but plenty of kids can/have written their way in... so who knows... just wait 5 days and ull get ur answer</p>
<p>Essays are probably the most important factor for CMC. They have taken kids with GPA's as low as 3.5 and with an SAT of around 1800 just because there essays were so good. Your stats are in the ballpark, but barely because of your GPA. If you wrote some really good essays, I'd say your chances are decent.</p>
