Chances to get into Cal Poly Pomona transferring from Illinois CC?

I am currently attending Harper community college in Illinois (first year). My dream is to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona to earn my BA in Animal Science. I also have always wanted to go to college in California to determine if I would really want to move there in the future. I am aware of how expensive it is but that isn’t an issue for me. Do I honestly have a chance in getting in or would I be wasting my time? I am going to try to maintain a 4.0 and take all of the required courses for the program I want to get into. Any tips on being a strong applicant? Getting into this school would be a dream come true so any help or advice would be wonderful. thanks

i don’t think it is as difficult as you make it seem are you perhaps confusing it with Cal Poly SLO, even then it wouldnt be so hard for the major ur considering

I think you meant a bachelor of science not a bachelor of art in Animal Science? I agree with the above poster. If you have a 3.5+ you should try for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo or UC Davis, apply to CPP too (it is an excellent school, just not ranked as high). Also, try and have EC’s or a job related to your major (will look good on your application). Make sure you contact admissions at the schools you are considering (now, not later) to see if you have the right classes for transferring.
