Chances to get into top ranked universities

-I am a former illegal immigrant who started american school in first grade. I am currently a junior in a Chicago Public high school. Neither of my parents went to college and make roughly 30,000 a year to support me and my two brothers. Credits to my name are:
-3.95 GPA on a 4.0 scale
-4.85 GPA weighted (as of right now)
-have taken 1 AP class, enrolled in 3 right now, and am taking four my senior year.
-I play piano and speak fluent english and polish, and semi-fluent french
-I am captain of my school's track and cross country teams.
-I recieved a 30 on my practice ACT that I took 5 months ago, and am taking the main one in roughly two weeks; most likely going to recieve a 32-34 based on all the practice and extra material I have been taking on.
-As of right now, I am ranked 15th in a class of about 700, and 1st if you dont count the kids enrolled in the IB diploma program at my school.
-I voluteer at the local library and a food depository

I believe that the strongest factor or attribute that I possess is that I simply want to help humanity by first growing into my full potential that consequently will aid me in the mentoring and helping the well being of those who have been down trodden, whether it's a child who comes from an impoverished family, or a town who's local economy has been devasted due to the arrival of a retail giant (cough walmart cough)

Universities I'm interested in are:
- UC Berkely
- Stanford
- Harvard
- Dartmouth
- Vanderbilt
- U of I Urbana
- Emory
- U of Southern California
- Columbia
- NYU

What do you guys think? Do I have good prospects? Thank you for your thoughts and opinions.

Berkeley is unaffordable for OOS, given your budget…

Berkeley: Aim for 32+/2150+
Stanford: Reach
Harvard: Reach
Dartmouth: Reach
Vanderbilt: Reach
UIUC: Aim for 28+/1950+ (32+/2150+ for business/engineering)
Emory: Aim for 31+/2100+
USC: Aim for 31+/2100+
Columbia: Reach
NYU: Aim for 31+/2100+ (poor financial aid)

I should add that money is not an object for me.

Your parents make less than $30,000 a year and you have two siblings. Money is a huge issue for you unless you have a secret college fund valued at $250,000.

NYU, UIUC, UC Berkeley, and possibly USC will be unaffordable. If you’re willing to consider LACs, many of them are exceedingly generous. You should also get application fee waivers from your counselor.

What I mean is that I don’t mind being in debt for the rest of my life. I value education over money.

You are immature and unprepared for life.

Thank you.

Agree with tomofboston, even though what he said is harsh. I would highly suggest you look at some good instate options because taking on 250k worth of loans just to go to a private school is a poor decision.

You can still get a great education at your state flagship or some other. Just because it isn’t ranked in the top 50 doesn’t mean that you won’t get a great education.

Between schools that have no loan policies, and the scholarships that I am applying and will apply for, (and maybe some help from a rich uncle), I do not pay much attention to school costs.
