Do I have any chance at Vanderbilt? Also, it would be gladly appreciated if you could suggest solid safety, and match schools. Thank you for your help!

You should get in Vandy given ur numbers, even including GPA and considering that they want more Asians there, as compared with other schools who would want less of them.

Anyone else want to weigh in?

BUMP (10 characters)

Bring Up My Post

Your SATs are fine/GPA low......I think it will come down to the quality of your essays/recommendations.

Any other opinions? Also, will being an Asian male help at a southern college like Vanderbilt?

Schools would tend to favor ethnicity based on what they need. They desire diversity so their campus matches the US population demographically. Vanderbilt has enough Asians to match the US population so they probably would not consider that ethnicity a hook.

The same goes for whites.

But anyways, you're qualified.
