Hello! I'm a Junior in High School and I'm really interested in Scripps. I plan on applying early decision next year. But I need some guidance. I just received my SAT scores and I'm not happy with Critical Reading. I'm not sure if I should retake them. Before I tell you my scores, let me tell you more about myself to see if my scores will really make or break me. I'm in the top quarter of a very competitive school with a 3.75 weighted GPA (that will likely go up with the inclusion of AP classes next year). I'm in all Honors and AP classes, and I'm currently undertaking an independent study of Mandarin Chinese. I'm involved in my school's Microcredit club, where we make loans through Kiva.org to people in 3rd world countries. I'm in my school's gifted support program, so next year I'll have some really good recommendations. I'm not in that many clubs at school because I also work 3 days a week as a waitress at a cafe. I just got into the Barnard Pre-College Summer program, and last year I attended a Summer Writing Program at the University of Pennsylvania. I'm my school's newspaper editor, and I'm very interested in writing, both fiction and nonfiction. I've volunteered for 3 political campaigns, twice for my local Congresswoman and once for President Obama. I'm very passionate about politics and am active in many protests and rallies. I'm part of an advisory board for a local eating disorder prevention organization where I, and other girls, formulate the best approach for the organization when we visit schools to address students about body image.

Sigh, and finally, my SAT scores:
CR 620
M 680
W 720
Overall: 2020

Haha they seem so small in comparison to my paragraph.
