So does 3.73 and 3.75 make much of a difference? What about 3.75 and 3.8?

My major is Environmental Economics and Policy for UC Berkeley. (CNR)

For UCLA, it's Economics. But my counselor said I need a 3.9 for that. Any alternative options?

I know the better GPA the better chances. Next semester is the only chance I have to pull up my GPA and it's just killing me inside.

Advise me, please! :)

Your GPA is fine. I would honestly focus on strengthening other parts of your application (E.C., personal statement, etc) or else you might end up like one of those 4.0GPA students who wonder why they were rejected.

My sister got accepted to UC Berkeley with a very similar major as the one you’re applying as, and she had a 3.2GPA. Her friend on the other hand had a 3.9GPA and got rejected from that SAME major.

I’m not too sure about UCLA, but remember that you can always switch majors once you’re in (most of the time). However, as a precaution, I would recommend picking a major that you can somewhat relate to just in case.

Well, that’s actually comforting.

As for ECs:
I run a network/forum with over 25,000 (non-spamming) registrees. It’s rather successful and it offers a lot of other services like web development, business consultancy, advice helpline, etc.
I’m also an intern news reporter and/or columnist for 3-4 magazines/newspapers.
^ Will those help me any?
Essays, I’m still writing them but I’m hoping for the best…

Do you think a 3.73 would pass it? I might be able to pull off a 3.8… Gahh.

Thank you SO much for the response! It’s just so comforting, lol.
