<p>Hey everyone, so I'm trying to see if I can apply to UMASS as a safety. I have a 3.76 UW gpa and I've taken a relatively hard schedule. I got a 31 on the ACT but I got a 34 and 32 on math and science which should hopefully help for I am going into engineering. I have around 250 volunteer hours over the past 2 years but I don't have many other ec's.

<p>With those scores and grades, unless you have something really negative in your history, I think your chances are close to 100%.</p>
<p>BTW, UMass has a good engineering school, it may deserve more than safety status.</p>

<p>Thanks guys, I’m mainly applying as a safety because the other schools I’m looking at are Michigan, Wisconsin, Texas, USC, and Illinois which all also have great engineering departments.</p>
