Chances!

Hello All, I am a white male from new jersey that is really interested in attending Princeton (ED), or Williams if I am rejected/deferred. I've been reading this forum, and, seeing all these chances threads, have succumbed to making one myself. Any and all input would be great. Thanks!

Again, thanks for taking the time to look over my profile and responding.

Your qualified for Princeton but your application lacks anything that will distinguish it from every other white male in NJ with ski high test scores. In order to have a decent shot a Princeton you need a "hook", something that really distinguish you from every other applicant. You have a very good shot at Williams.

ight thanks bill, anyone else?

you have a good shot at williams

what about princeton if I go early decision?

Hope you're also thinking about great matches and safeties as well, that have the same or similar characteristics of Princeton.

A lot of kids get in trouble when the letters come, if they are not prepared for the possibility of rejection. Do it right, don't fall in love so early in the process. And, don't bet on Williams as a sure thing as well. This admissions cycle has taught me not to be surprised by anything...especially which schools will accept, reject, or waitlist.

If you do believe that Princeton is your true first choice, then go for it. If it's your choice because it's cool and ranked high on USNews, then maybe not.

Just my two cents.

i understand that i have to look at matches and safeties, i just wanted an opinion on my chances to my top 2 choices

You have a good shot, just play your cards well.

ok sounds good
