Chances?

hi!

i applied to A&M about December 6.
these are the only stats i can provide:

  • ap/ib classes all 4 years of high school. very competitive and rigorous courses taken. HS is very competitive
  • really good essays (all 3)
  • not top 10% but put in top quarter by the AIS. school does NOT rank
  • 95.74 GPA (4.0)
  • 29 ACT (did not take SAT)

i’ve been accepted into a few selective schools already but got capped at UT nursing. i really don’t want blinn.
i applied to A&M as a business major but i’m considering changing it to a less selective major to increase my chances?
my goal is nursing so would it increase my chances to change to a major that will cover the pre-requisites for transferring into the nursing school later?

update: i called an AO at A&M and they told me major is not considered in the application process and changing my major would not delay or affect my admissions decision… i went ahead and changed my major to allied health. he also said the next wave of decisions will be in one week.

you have a 99.9% chance to get in. Good luck!
