Chances?

Male, Asian American
Public school

SAT I' s:
1950, I hope it will improve to 2000+ as I took the Dec. 2nd test. Assume it will stay at 1950 though.

GPA UW/W:
3.40/ 3.80 - Ouch I know...took the hardest possible classes all at the same time, killed my GPA. I guess you could say that I am the kid that got the B's and few A's without even studying. I have learned from my mistakes in HS and I will take my new attitude for school into me where I go to college.

I also got my 1st trimester grades and with them added I have a 3.44/3.84 UW/W. Now will colleges see the 3.40 or 3.44 because the first trimester grades are already on the transcript which I have not sent yet. Does the "mid-year report" refer to the first grading session, or in my case first trimester or is it for the second trimester?

Rank:
Top 25%, not sure of exact number.

Courseload:
13 AP classes, about 5 C's all together in 13 AP classes so far.

ECs:
Piano 7 yrs
Drums 7 yrs
JV Tennis
Varisty Tennis
Tutoring students after school
Chess club
Ping Pong Club
Volunteering at my church doing fund raisers and other things (+200 hours)
Church youth group secretary (10th)
Church youth group Vice President(11th)
A few others as well, but im more focused on statistics right now.

As you can see, the majority of the EC's are not really school oriented, but instead related with church. I really hope this does not absolutely kill me, but hopefully I can add something in the essays that show my passion for my faith in God.

Personal hobbies/interests:
Play drums for my church praise and worship team which takes around 5 hours a week to prepare for. Besides music as being one of my major hobbies, I do enjoy computer programming and anything related to the computer.

Schools:

John Hopkins University
Northwestern
University of Washington
Oregon State University
University of Oregon
University of Rochester
New York University
Pepperdine University
Baylor

Thanks for your input in advance.

I want to get an idea of whether I should apply to more safety/match schools. I have a feeling that all these schools will be reaches, except for OSU, OU and Baylor.

Avg SAT at JHU is 2160, avg at NW is 2100, most people are in the top 5% as well, and I'm guessing not a whole lot of Cs.

I understand that and I know I have a longer than long shot at those colleges but I am interested in the other colleges as well. I have already decided that if I don't get into JHU / NW or any of those top colleges it will not hurt me too much. I am just applying so I don't regret it in the future. But do I have a chance at University of Rochester or any of those other ones?
