I applied the the school of arts and sciences in NB around three weeks ago and have not gotten a response, Rutgers is my top choice so I am pretty nervous.

White Male
German citizen, US permanent resident, NJ resident
UW GPA- 2.92
SAT- 1920 R:680 M:650 W:590

My grades steadily improved each year.
No AP classes besides one my senior year.
I have been playing the cello for ages and played in high school orchestras for all 4 years.
I speak German fluently.
I have some community service during my sophomore year, around 70 hours.
I also attend a very competitive public high school, top 3 for SAT scores I think.

Not much else to mention. Any feedback would be appreciated!

well I think with your SAT scores you should've gotten in by now since they only really look at CR + M, but your GPA is really low and I know the lady that was talking to us before the tour said they look first and foremost at the course load then the SATs so maybe that's what's hurting you to the point where you haven't gotten a response yet...

I guess if certain parts of your application qualify but others do not automatically it gets further review. Or they have more applications to get through around now.

Everyone else is getting in! I still haven't heard from them!

Hey...actually, I have a question. I remember that, for some odd reason, when I filled out the application online, I stated that I was planning on taking ACTs in December, even though I submitted my SAT scores.

Could that be a possibility of why they are taking so long to respond back?
