Just receive my SAT score today :( not very good.

GPA 3.7
SAT 1580 (Math 600 Reading 490 Writing 490)
1st Generation College Student
Asian :D
Lt. Governor for Key Club
~60 Key Club hours
5 AP class (Stat, Environmental, US History, Government, Calculus)
In-state

Yea.. that's pretty much it.. do I have a somewhat good chance with that SAT score..? Or what score range should I look at with my other stats...

Hi, thanks for the reply. The 3.7 GPA is unweighted. I don't think my school has grade inflation because we only have 4 classes each semester ( you screw one up your GPA get screwed bad time ). So do you think I have any chance...?

hmm that is really strange that you only have 4 classes, i would see that as hurting you for having an easy courseload. is your school public or private?

He said per semester so that means 8 classes an year. I used to be on a block schedule too and you probably get more classes in than you can with a regular 6 class schedule.

I see, that would make sense with a block sched. We just have 6, 50 min classes per semester. If you had 4, 50 min classes I could see that killing your course load though.

Im not an expert on how the UW accepts people but it seems to me the scrape off the top test scores from the pile and process those people first...i don't know, but that seems to be how it works. you might get in in the second round, though.

Hm… well just to clarify, I have 4 classes each semester (90 min long/class). It’s a public school. Well I know my SAT is not that high, but is my GPA alright though? If I get my SAT to 1700 would that secure me a spot? Thanks for the replies.
