Chanes RD?

I wanted to apply Ea to BU but I didn’t take the SAT in time…

3.56 UW GPA
3.8 W GPA
Old SAT: 1200
My school dosen’t rank, but if they did I would be somewhere in the top %5-10%
Full IB
EC’s:

BPA (President)
NHS
SHNS
Academic Team
Young Republicans
Young Democrats

150 Hours Community Service at a local hospital
Did a summer program at Duke and an internship at a law firm

I have a very, very strong upward trend in both difficulty of my classes as well as the grades in them… I went from regular classes to IB by working over the summer.

My essays and recomendations are both stellar IMHO. What are my chances at BU RD? I wan to major in poli sci, can anyone give me some matches, reaches and safeties? Also, what category does BU fall in as far as match safety or reach? Tahnks!

You have a chance but BU is a bit of a reach due to your SAT scores...The bottom of BU's 25%tile is 1270 SAT. Also, BU requires 2 SAT2's or the ACTs. You may be accepted to the CGS (2yr. division) with your current stats. Incidently, BU dosen't have EA...only ED1, ED2, and RD.

My stats are pretty similar to yours (3.6 GPA, 1320 on the SAT though) and I'm applying ED II because I'm kinda nervous about admission and I've heard it's easier if you apply ED II since they admit/reject those independent of RD candidates.

I think you'd be more likely to get acceptance if you applied ED II, but that depends on how much you want to go there.
