Change Major or add minor

Hello,

I have read other post concerning the best major for med-school and know it varies greatly on your GPA and MCAT scores. I am currently a Health Science Major and do not know if I should continue with Health Science or switch to Exercise Science. My other option is to add a Spanish for the Medical Professionals minor. I will already have a Biology Minor.
If I do switch to Exercise Science my Health Science would transfer to be a Health Studies Minor.

Please let me know what you think will be best. I appreciate all your post and advice! Thanks again :)

What’s with all the changing and minors?

What do major do you like best and why? Why would you change majors?

Forget all the minors and such. You can still take some classes in those subjects for interest, but don’t bog yourself down with all this unnecessary stuff that might hurt your GPA.

Med. School does not care about combo of major(s) / minor(s). Make sure to take all pre-reqs, have very high GPA, decent MCAT score, reasonable ECs and you will be a good applicant no matter what is your major(s)/minor(s).

Sorry, I guess I didn’t explain the reason why. In order to be a full time student I will need to add a minor or take a different major. I could take BS classes, but I figured I should get something to show for it. The classes I have to take need to be taken in a certain order before one another, and not take together. I hope this answers your question why. Thanks for the post :)

OP, are you being advised by your school’s pre-health office? There’s a lot you posted that I don’t understand. As a non-academic major I would have thought that your greatest concern would be how to find the time to take all the classes that are required, not being full time. How far along are you with your studies? Will you be taking MCAT2015? How many of the pre-med prerequisites have you already taken?
