I'm a current biology major at UC Riverside, but I've been thinking that I might want to change majors.

I want to go into nursing, but UCR doesn't offer the major, so the next best thing is to go into psychology, graduate, and then get an ADN or BSN. However, if somehow I'm not accepted into a nursing program, I feel that a BS in psychology is difficult to find a job for unless I go back for at least a master's degree.

My other option is a business or econ degree, it seems more safe in terms of job prospects after college, and more versatile too, but it's an unrelated field to nursing unless for healthcare administration. Although, with a business or econ degree, I can go into accounting, marketing, or management.

Can someone offer advice on this change of major issue? Or more information regarding the level of difficulty between the two majors, or even someone with experience in nursing can offer advice on which major is the best to take? Thanks!!
