<p>Is it possible to change majors after being admitted before enrolling for fall classes? Thought I read that it was on mystatus page but now I can't find it anymore.</p>

<p>You’re right, the mystatus page used to give you a chance to change majors but now it doesn’t. They must have changed that recently.</p>
<p>My son wanted to change majors & colleges so I called the undergraduate admissions office. They told me to fax a letter to them at (512)475-7478. We did this a week ago and it seems to have worked since now his page says “Your request to change majors is under review”. It also says, “once your review is processed, an update will appear on this page.”</p>
<p>When I called the office, I asked them if he would get another letter of admission from the new college. They said it may take a while, because if the college is full they have to wait until everyone that has already received offers either accepts or rejects their offer. My son was admitted to the honors program in his second choice major (which is what he wants to switch to), and I asked if that would make a difference, and she seemed to think it would. </p>
<p>Anyway to fax the major change request, type up a letter, with date, student’s UID, what major the students wants to change to, that the student is an incoming freshman, contact info (email and phone) and have the student sign the letter.</p>
