i submitted my application with the major choice of chemistry as first and undecided as second.
however, i just found out that you have to write additional essays for applying as chem major. but i dont think i can handle three extra short answers in so little time and it’s not like i’m dead-set on chemistry, so i was wondering if i can change my major to undecided. can i call the admissions and change this?

bump. anyone??

I'd say that if you have experiences w/chemistry that might help your app, i.e. demonstrated strong background and/or interest, you should try to do the supplemental essay. Otherwise, there's a place in the "confirmation" section asking about your intended degree, and I think you'd be fine if you just changed it there.

At least, I had basically the same problem and that's what I did--other input would be great.
