<p>My roommate has a drastically different schedule than mine and overall we have different lifestyles and priorities, so it's not totally working. How feasible is it to change rooms (I could switch with a person down the hall)?</p>

<p>Perhaps you should talk to your Resident Assistant or whatever they’re called.</p>
<p>I changed dorm rooms several years ago. I’d talk to your RA first and to your roommate as well to see if any compromises can be made. Changing dorms can be difficult, sometimes costly (depends on your uni) and are always a crapshoot - you could very well end up in the same if not a worse situation. </p>
<p>Ultimately you’ll have to go to the housing department at your university and formally apply for a room transfer. If you have a switch in mind with another person thats not happy, that might just work out. Otherwise, you’re going to have to come up with some more extreme reasons to move. </p>
