My friend declined a college based on finances and her father recently got a new job, so she can now afford that college. I'm curious as to whether or not she can accept that college after declining it.

Can you decline a college and later call the admissions office and tell them that you have accepted them? This is not merely a change of heart, but it's based on finances.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere else...

The only thing she can do is call the college and state her reasons. It’s worth a try, the worst thing they can say is no, their spots are filled.

Yes, it may be possible to decline a college and then be readmitted by them, but your friend needs to contact the college immediately and explain why she changed her mind. The sooner she does this, the better will be her chances of being able to attend there.

As poster above stated the school needs to be contacted as soon as possible.
