Hey, I need to get plane tickets to get to orientation (and eventually school) and was wondering the bes way to go about doing that to get the best deal, as money is a big concern. Also, I'm under 18 and flying alone, do I need to do anything special? Thanks!

That's how I got mine.. I'm flying from PA to NY for $125

I usually fly Northwest because I live pretty close to Detroit, it tends to be cheap (almost always below $200), and it's one of the few airlines that does direct flights from NYC to my part of the Midwest. You might consider looking at http://www.farecast.com/ to see what prices will be like and who to buy tickets from. I just read an article about some website/software that watches plane ticket prices for you until they drop below a certain price point and then emails you - unfortunately, I don't remember the name, but that's another thing to look into.
