Chem placement test

did anyone take them yet? how's the difficulty level compared to, say, the AP test? I'll have to take that soon..

i went through and filled in random answers for all the placement tests.

id say it was easy.

It's very easy compared to the AP test. It's intended to see if you know enough high school chemistry to start with freshman chemistry at UIUC, which should be pretty easy.

If I'm going into Consum. Econ and Finance in College of ACES, do you think I need to take the Chem. Test? I called a dean or whatever a couple weeks ago and she said no.

yeah, i took two years of high school chemistry. doesn't that make me exempt from the test in LAS?

Here's the list of LAS majors that are required to take the chemistry placement test (pretty much every major that requires a chemistry course):

It's funny, I placed in the top 50 in the nation on the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad and I still had to take UIUC's chemistry placement test, since the rules were different back then. While I was taking it, I saw this guy that also took the national exam with me.
