Chemistry Placement

I got a sufficient score on the chemistry portion of the test, weird cause I haven't had any chemistry classes for over 2 years. But on the math I fell short 1 point, again weird cause I placed into MAC2311. Anyways will they let me register for CHM2045 (General Chem 1) even if its ONE point short on the math portion?

You must enroll in CHM1025 if:
Your score is 5 or less on the math portion and/or 5 or less on the chemistry portion of the Chemistry Readiness Assessment (ChRA).
You may enroll in CHM2045 if:
Your score is 6 or greater on the math portion AND 6 or greater on the chemistry portion of the Chemistry Readiness Assessment (ChRA).

What is your major?

If it is premed, engineering, pharmacy, prevet or predent? You may want to go for chm2045 and test yourself. Chm1045 is not a hard class. But if you are going to major in any of the above mentioned fields? You need to know chemistry and know it well.

If you take chm2045 and are lost? It MAYBE an indication to change your major. I am not saying that is 100% but for the most part it works out that way.

Good Luck to you.

Industrial and Systems Engineering, I’ve only taken basic chemistry in high school no AP, even then I was not that hard and im sure I can manage 2045.

Depends who your counselor is when you go to preview, but if you push it enough you can probably just sign up for CHM 2045.

ISE major hear too btw. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

What about CHM 2095 (Chem 1 for Engineers)? ISE accepts that too.
