As i recall, there are a number of Chick-fil-a locations quite near the Elon Campus, as well as one or two on campus. In fact, I'd never even heard of the chain until a visit to the school. I was wondering if Elon's much touted openness to diversity, service and gay friendly reputation has prompted any on campus response to the founder of the chain's recent anti-gay marraige stance.

Hey MHC: sounds like UDel wasn’t successful with eliminating it…[Haven protests Chick-fil-A - News - The Review - The independent student newspaper of the University of Delaware since 1882](http://www.udreview.com/news/haven-protests-chick-fil-a-1.2107598#.UCU_kSp5mSM)

.right now, it’s not even open at Elon because the food court in Moseley is being rebuilt around the new dining hall…

No idea what the response will be when it does…

Sounds, though, like this is an Aramark/campus dish issue, rather than an institutional one in these cases…

MHC, I am not really sure why you would post this other than to prompt an attack against Elon. What is the point? Is it your mission to turn others from Elon to Delaware? There are sooo many wonderful things to boast about Elon and its programs, that to highlight this when you have no idea if there is a response is just plain brutish; and still I question, to what point?

We are thrilled that you and your child are happy at Delaware. I encourage you to post meaningful and helpful comments on the Delaware forum.

Gee, samtalya, it was a question. There were about a dozen articles in the papers internet and news today about surveys of residents of North Carolina’ views regarding CFA, Republicans vs. Democrats, white vs. blacks. Huff Post, Wash Examiner, Fox etc. And my niece at Duke said she got e-mails from a group there to organize when school starts, I so I merely asked at the one place where I know people I’ve spoken to before and who might know, about it. I’m not sure why that upset you. And why would the question turn people off about the school anyway it’s not affiliated (as far as I know) with CFA.

MHC, if you had framed your original post as stated above, it would have read more of a person curious for an answer; instead I found your post more of an attack.

e.g. if you had written originally:
" There were about a dozen articles in the papers internet and news today about surveys of residents of North Carolina’ views regarding CFA, Republicans vs. Democrats, white vs. blacks. Huff Post, Wash Examiner, Fox etc. And my niece at Duke said she got e-mails from a group there to organize when school starts. I am curious if there has been any reaction at Elon?"

This would have led to a more thoughtful discussion in context. Your tone, thankfully not intended, read snarky.

LOL — Fear Not, Purveyors of fast food chicken sandwiches don’t speak for “us all” anymore than they speak for “you’all”.

Our rights (gay and otherwise) are as always in peril, Are you speaking up?

As a current Elon student, I can tell you many students love Chick-fil-a for its food and will probably eat it because they like it for that reason; it’s good food. In regard to the political issue, I’ve seen Facebook posts on both sides but not heard heated discussion.
