Chico

Hey everyone. I just recently decided to attend chico. You hear such mixed things about the school. People say it's still a party school, and some people say that it's completely lame. Anyone want to give me a straight up answer? And also, I think I'm going to live in Craig hall...is that a good or bad idea?

It is a party school, the town is great, and the campus is nice. I got in, but it was one of my backups.

Chico is a great place.

Go there study hard, party hard and be a lot more well-rounded when you get out than you would be at many other places.

I’ve lived in Chico my whole life and it is a definite party school although it has been tamed down the past couple years.

totally not related (sorry), but a guy I know from Chico won on The Price is Right a couple years ago. Won a fridge, lawnmower, and a nice big boat. And i think he won a trip to Europe but dont remember.

Anyone with any experience with the off campus housing. I was also interested in Craig Hall.

I'm interested in attended Chico as well, and I've heard nothing but great things about it :) The only thing holding me back is the area, because I want to go south, but it's #1 campus beauty, #3 state school in california, and I hear everyones friendly there.

The Chico community is very laid back and there is lots of stuff to do here (compared to other CSU). There are a lot of cops though.

It is very easy to find affordable housing here, you typically will only have to pay about 300-400 a month for a pretty decent place.
